I had difficulty coming up with a title for this post and I must say I really didn't like the title I chose. It just feels like I am giving so much attention to Covid-19 even though I can't deny the fact that the entire world is affected by this pandemic one way or the other.
Anyways! I allowed the title primarily because I wanted to thank everyone who responded, and provided some information as to what they are doing and making time for at this period.
I got talking with a friend and one of my mentors and here is a summary of our discussion:
1. This period/phase is but for a while.
2. You can choose to make good use of this period or otherwise.
3. After this period, certain decisions will have to be made, and by virtue of this, there will be a new normal.
Note this decision cuts across national, organizational, family, and individual levels. IT is expanding, maybe some companies will look into restructuring and cost-cutting, maybe new roles will emerge.
I believe these maybes will certainly occur.
Question is, how do we position ourselves for the then?
What can we make of the situation or will we just rather be lost in the tide of decision making by others that will affect us.
No matter how much we decide to strategically position ourselves since we do not fully know what the future holds or will bring, we need the help, direction, and guidance of the one who does- the Creator!
You are so right my dear..........when this is all over our reality will be a "new normal". We will definitely need to take a hard look at our selves and make some decisions. This will be easy for some, but for others it will definitely be hard. Whatever it is, most of all, above all things let us seek the Lord for his guidance. Out thoughts should continually be " let thine will be done".
